The classic top hat is an unmistakable symbol of the chimney sweep profession and has a long tradition. It gives chimney sweeps a distinctive and elegant appearance. The top hat originated in the work of chimney sweeps in the 18th century. At that time, due to the high risks of their work and the generally poor living conditions, they were often marginalized by society. To preserve their identity and distinguish themselves from other professions, chimney sweeps began wearing the top hat as part of their work attire.Today, the classic top hat is no longer merely a work accessory for chimney sweeps, but also a traditional symbol of their profession. At public events and celebrations, chimney sweeps proudly wear their top hats, representing their long history and expertise. The handmade top hat is made of rabbit fur felt, with a silk lining, an inner sweatband made of pressed leather, and a grosgrain ribbon trim. The firm felt material protects against dirt and soot. In addition, the top hat also provides protection against weather conditions such as rain and snow.- Height approx. 15 cm- Water-repellent
